One point I intentionally communicate to the bride is the importance of relationships.
Whether I am capturing your pregnant belly, your beautiful family, or your union with the man of your dreams, I am completely convinced that relationships are key. I’ll use my wife Ilana as an example. She is beautiful (inside and out). But she dislikes being photographed. The best photographer in the world would have a difficult time capturing her personality if they had no background, no relationship. Sometimes the personality needs to be teased out. Without a relationship this can be tough.
Clients often tell me “your pictures are amazing”, “all your brides look so relaxed, so beautiful” etc…
Or “I take bad pictures, I don’t know what to do, your going to have a tough time with me”.
These issues can be dealt with 110% of the time when we know each other.
I would love to meet you and your fiancé before the wedding. We should get to know each other, and go make some amazing portraits during an engagement session.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about my background as a professional wedding photographer in Orange County & Los Angeles. I shot my first wedding in 1999. I capture 30-40 weddings annually all over California and internationally. I have photographed weddings in Maui, Oahu, and Kauai, Hawaii, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and as far as Alaska. However, every year most of the weddings I photograph are in Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego Counties.
I always shoot with the end product in mind, which is typically an wedding album. I custom design each album myself to my client’s specs.
Being a professional, I always maintain backup gear at every event.
I shoot with top of the line Canon digital cameras. I bring three cameras, and a variety of professional lenses, flashes, and additional lighting equipment when necessary to each event. My assistant maintains my gear so I can focus on my job at hand: you and your bride.
After your wedding:
You can expect to see my favorite images from your wedding before you return home from your Honeymoon. Your complete gallery will be viewed in my studio before being released online for friends and family. I also post images on my Blog from weddings.
Your album can be designed as soon as I have your image selections. I strongly encourage you and your wife to make your selections in my studio with me. That way I can better guide you through the design process to produce a superior final product.
Clients that don’t come in to make their album selections typically take 6-9 months before getting back to me. I feel you and your wife are better served when I am there to aid you when selecting your images for your design. I think you will also get a better album design if your wedding was recent. It’s tough to remember every important moment from a wedding six months ago. I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and answer any questions you might have.
Make it a great day!
