month: August 2008

Saturday’s family session was my third with the Canon family. I met Tara through a friend a long time ago. She contacted me about the middle of her pregnancy wanting to do documentary portraits of her pregnancy, her newborn, and about 6 months old

I had a great time with Tara, Jernay, and Baby Noah!

Here is one of my favorites

Enjoy,

Chris

Just finished up editing some images from a really fun session yesterday at my Laguna Secret spot. Rebecca and Steven were a blast!…(Sorry Steve just can’t help the puns!) For my dedicated readers, Steve has an interesting job. He is one of the guys that blows things up in the movies. Cars, boats, hopefully not people;-) Anyhow, I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding at the Pala Mesa in October.

Enjoy,
Chris

Heather and Alex had a beautiful wedding celebration at the Island hotel in Newport Beach. The images look incredible! Here is just a tiny sample of the goods.
Special thanks to my second photographer Sarah from Sundrawn Studios Also needed to say fantastic job from the wedding coordinator, Jordan of Joyful weddings and events.

Much More to come.

The ring shot has officially made a return
Thought I’d post a cool ringshot from last night’s wedding at the Hacienda in Santa Ana
Promise to post a few more fun images in a couple days.

Liza and Vince wed yesterday in Manhattan Beach. I must say it was a massive celebration. Camille and I had a great time capturing all the special moments and fun portraits. However there was one portrait I made at the Long Beach aquarium that just rocked. I needed to post immediately. So (drum Roll…..) Hope you like it, and I promise to have a 2.0 post with a couple more of my favs. Have a great Sunday!

Chris

Liza and Vince made it official this morning on 8-8-08 at exactly 8:08 in a beautiful park in Rancho Palos Verdes, overlooking the ocean.

Camille and I are looking forward to capturing their Big wedding tomorrow in LA & Long Beach.

Here are a couple of my favorite images from about and hour ago. (yeah I’m fast:-0)

Here is a nice treat I just finished for Last Saturdays couple Jennifer and Jamie.
Hopefully they get the chance to see it from their honeymoon in Maui over a couple Mai-Tai’s!

Patience is a virtue (this takes approx 45 seconds to load)

This was one of those weddings that I wish every wedding could be like. Super cool couple…Lots of Love flowing….East coast contingent representing, all set to unfold in Seal, and Huntington Beach.

Jenn and Jamie were a blast to work with! Hope you guys have an amazing time in Maui. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Also wanted to say Thanks to Nathan Wauk from Precious Memories Video and Photography for doing such a fantastic job as a second photographer.

Also a seemless performance by

Wendy Dahl of Dahl Wedding company coordination

Aaron Massey of Vox DJ’s

Enjoy the images!

Chris

Brides out there……listen up

COORDINATOR,COORDINATOR,COORDINATOR,
if your don’t have a coordinator helping plan your big day, then you might want to reconsider.

Last Saturday was a yet another reminder how big a difference a good coordinator makes with the style, flow, and overall success of a wedding. Pardon my analogy, but They are like WD-40 on squeeky wheel.

I had the opportunity to work with Wendy Dahl owner of Dahl wedding company this past Saturday.
We had a fantastic time photographing the wedding, and everything went off without a hitch.

Wendy was everywhere at once. A total pro, and a blast to work with ,as evidenced by the above image;-)

Stay Tuned for another post with a couple of my favorite images from Jenn and Jamie’s big day!

PS The photobooth was a big success.
