Well I have to say that I am really looking forward to having a little Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) with this exceptional couple in the very near future.
It was a absolute blast capturing Hoa and Jason’s wedding celebration at Olowalu plantation house on the west side of Maui. It’s a truly beautiful tropical location right on the beach. I can’t wait to get back there! Big thanks to Lori of Tropical maui weddings for running a smooth stress free celebration! The music was provided by her husband Jaime. Seriously any brides reading this….if your getting married in Maui hire this couple. Lori is a blast to be around and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table to help you plan the perfect event, and Jamie’s got an amazing voice that forces relaxation, and enjoyment.

Just a fun quick post today. This is a composite of 4 images shot with a very long lens in the dark. I was really surprised how clear the Girl actually looked when I zoomed in on her. Hoa and Jason are being very patient to see some wedding images from their tropical wedding, so I’ll get crackin on that.

Just received a great postcard from Hoa and Jason today and realized I needed to get on the ball and start posting some of my favorite images from our session in Maui last week. Special thanks to Lori from Tropical Maui weddings for tipping me off to a secret local spot for some incredible photographs. Our photo session led us through volcanic sugar cane fields to an incredible derelict sugar processing facility. I have no idea how long the structure has been abandoned. Giant trees and vines griped tightly on crumbling walls as they slowly took back any sign of man. I just love the seeing how the balance with man and nature has been shifted. The images are striking. I hope you like them also.

A little more from August first with Naseem and Majid wedding at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood.

A little delayed…but worth the wait!
I have been crazy busy shooting weddings all over the place this summer. Naseem and Majid celebrated their vows at the Andaz hotel on Saturday August 1st. It was a beautiful affair! I must mention that both families were a blast to be part of on such a special day!
Special thanks to all that helped make the wedding a smashing success! Charlie King I mean YOU! Charlie from Good Gracious events did a simply fantastic job. Looking forward to working with you again in the future! Also can’t forget my second photographer Nathan Wauk for simply amazing me with his talent! Great Job Nate! I must also mention that the staff and service at the Andaz Hotel was top notch! As always enjoy the images!

How does that old saying go? “Never let them see you sweat” Okay I must admit I was sweating a little. Had a fun, but hot session in a park in Irvine with baby Pilar and Family on her first Birthday. We decided to shoot around Pilar’s nap schedule to get the happiest baby possible…….It worked. The images look incredible! It was also fun for me to challenge myself and shoot in noontime sun.

Lots of images coming very Soon from Hoa and Jason’s Tropical wedding in Maui. I just beat the hurricane Felicia out of Maui yesterday afternoon. Quite a bumpy ride, but there were amazing views of the hurricane off in the distance. Playing catchup today, and looking forward to Kathryn and Colemen’s big day next Saturday at the Huntington Beach Hyatt.

This was a good one! I really loved the way Leslie and Lance did things just a little different. Hope they see this entry from their honeymoon in Africa. (BTW I’m very jealous). Lance is a bit of a technophile, He’s probably reading this on top of an elephant with his laptop balanced on the tip of the trunk.

Well my best buddie finally crossed over. That is Crossed over into fatherhood. Dave and Christine gave birth (well actually Christine;-) to Andrew Patrick on Friday In Fountain Valley. Let this be the official iblog welcome for Andrew! Ilana and I are so happy for you guys! Looking forward to watching Andrew grow.
